I am reviewing the novel Fated by Morgan Rice which is a very good book that I read at kindle unlimited. This is the 11th installment in the Vampire Journals series. In this book Scarlett has become a vampire and is having trouble coming to terms with it. Her mother is searching for her and she thinks the world of Sage since he saved her life. The police are searching for Scarlett and find it difficult she can run as fast as a deer and has super strength. Her mother used to have a job dealing with ancient manuscripts and breaks into a library to try a way of saving her daughter. Kyle has been arrested by the police having only just been released from prison and they try to have him for assault but he kills the policeman and drinks their blood having been turned into a vampire by Scarlett. He is now searching for her as is Lore. Lore tried to kill her previously and Sage saved her and they are both vampires. Aiden confirms to Caitlin that her daughter is a vampire and that it is too late to contain the outbreak of vampirism. Vivian comes to a sticky end when Maria afraid of Lore makes out Viv is Scarlett’s best friend and is the person to ask about her whereabouts even though in reality she can’t stand Maria or Scarlett. Lore gives Viv a choice talk or die. Caitlin and Caleb Scarlett’s are hot on the trail of Kyle and know he is on his way to the school having tortured the information out of a barman when they had only been in his bar and he barely knew them. This book is around 170 pages so is a lot shorter than the other installments and isn’t very long. I did enjoy this book and recommend it. Apparently there is to be a 12th installment to be published in the near future.
